The Holy Qur'an states in 3:95:
Certainly the first house appointed for men is the one at Bakkah, blessed and a guidance for the nations.
According to the Qur'an Makkah is the first place on earth where man worshipped God.
Round about Eid ul-Adha this year we placed an article in the newspaper on the subject of Hajj. We wrote that the Ka'bah was the first house of worship on earth.
A few weeks later a Hindu gentleman replied in that same newspaper with an article, explicitly claiming that the Ka'bah is not the first religious centre on earth and that scientific researches have proved that there existed places of pilgrimage in India more then 50,000 years ago.
My question is: does anyone on this forum have any information about scientific sources which can tell us more about the age and authenticity of the Kabah?
Was-s-salam.
