Say: We believe in Allah and that which is revealed to us, and that which was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and that which was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit. (Quran 3:84)
"We have made some of these messengers to excel others. Among them are they to whom Allah spoke, and some of them he exalted by (many) degrees of rank..." (Qur'an 2:253)
As Muslims, we can believe the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, to be the greatest and most exalted of all the Prophets, and thus our love for him should be greater than any of the other Prophets, correct?
And if so, I hope someone can clear up for me what do the words 'we make no distinction between any of them' exactly mean in 3:84 of the Qur'an, since it seems like a distinction has been made in 2:253 of the Qur'an.
