Basically, I don't know if there are any People of the Book in existence today, since there is so much innovation in Christian-Judaeo religions. The Christians especially that worship the Trinity, i.e. they worship more than one God...does that really classify them as People of the Book? I know the Trinity theory has been around for some time, but not all Christians believe in the Trinity or Jesus as God theory.
To be more succinct, are there any true people of the book in existence today? If so, who are they, and if not, is it halal for a Muslim man to marry a Non-Muslim woman? What's the difference in a Hindu worshipping their gods and a Christian that worships Jesus if it is allowed to marry Christians, but not Hindus, if they are classified as idolators? And in any case, can their be any happiness in these marriages?
