One thing I have not been able to understand is why is it even mentioned that Iblis refused to bow down, if only the Angels were being commanded to make obesiance to Adam?
"And when We said to the angels, Be submissive to Adam, they submitted, but Iblis (did not). He refused and was proud, and he was one of the disbelievers." (Qur'an 2:34)
