In de Holy Quran 4:31 we read:
"If you shun the great things which you are forbidden, We shall do away your evil (inclinations), ... "
We also read in 42:37:
"Those who shun the great sins and indecencies, ..." (See also 53:32)
In his comment on 4:31, Muhammad Ali writes:
"Division of sin in kabirah en saghirah is unwarranted."
Does anyone on this forum have an idea about this concept of great and small sins?
Is there a division between these two?
If so, can anyone give an example of a great sin and a small sin?
